I have to say, Anthropologie has a great talent for catching my eye, and this new photo from its catalog has given me serious room-decorating envy. I love the saturated wall colors and the interplay of blue and green patterns, including that stunning peacock sofa. Sometimes an overabundance of color is simply too much for the eye to take in, but this room is, in my opinion, positively splendid.

Absolutely agree, this room is great!
1Love the chair so much, too bad it's $1500! Can you find me a look for less?
2i absolutely love the wall color!
do you happen to know what it's called?
3There's a very bohemian, Bloomsbury quality to it that I just love.
4It's so romantic yet also modern. If only it were easier to be this deliberate when decorating one's home. Unfortunately, it's tough when you acquire things gradually.
5This is beautiful, but it's just a tad too dark for me. I would have used the green or the yellow in the sofa. Or, I would have used lighter furniture. I lean towards lighter colored rooms although this is simply gorgeous.
6I loooove saturated hues, but I'm afraid to put them on the walls of my already dark rooms. I would pick an accessory in the saturated hue, like curtains or pillows or a lamp.
7CoralAmber, I agree. My whole house is pretty dark. Saturated hues for accessories is less of a commitment as well. If you get sick of them, you can always get new accessories. Changing the wall color when you get sick of the color can be time-consuming (especially because you have to prime THEN paint for saturated hues) and not good for the wallet.
