In an episode of Sex and the City, Trey's mother Bunny MacDougal festoons his Park Avenue apartment with duck decoys and plaid curtains, in a begrudging attempt to wield control over her son; Charlotte was less than pleased. All in-law issues aside, if it were me, I'd opt out of the duck decoys regardless, unless I'd spray painted them in glossy white to be cheeky or ironic. How about you? Do you decorate with duck decoys?

no love for the duck.
1a little dated & seems like you'd be trying to be going for a stuffy look.
2Actually, I love the idea of spray painting them glossy white. Glossy black would be neat, too. Or even really bright colors in the proper setting would be great. There's definitely potential!
One of the hospitals I work at has duck decoys floating around in their waterfall. I thought it was hilarious when I noticed that they were tied to rocks so they wouldn't all float to a corner.
3When my mother moved in to her previous home the master bath was done in mustard yellow with duck decoy wallpaper boarder. It was awful!
4Maybe for a hunting lodge or cabin it makes sense.
no, but my mom went with the duck fad in the early 90's. She still has some stuff left over.
5My dearly-departed uncle made a decoy by hand and I haven't the heard to toss it. It's the only thing I have of his and seeing it does make me think of him fondly--so I guess it will stay part of my decor (although somewhat hidden).
6Ducks are great if you are decorating a pond. Otherwise, forget about ducks.
7no. but i have a friend who's husband and fil are duck hunters. the fil has a den that is decorated in duck motif, like a hunting lodge in a movie. kind of weird. there are evev a couple of taxidermied water fowl in there
8My parents have an ugly duck, but somehow it suits the room.
9No, but my mother-in-law did decorate my living room. >:-(
choosing my battles...
10I absolutely LOVE ducks, but I wouldnt decorate my room with them. I have duck icons on my pc, a blu tac duck my BF made me on my pc, and a small stuffed duck that quacks which sits with only two other small stuffed teddy bears which are sentimental.
My BF wouldnt mind but in terms of home decorating its very dated.
