According to some experts, incense makes the heart grow fonder, as it can "encourage romance, stimulate sexuality, draw love, and create harmony." But, as I've told you before, it literally makes me sick to my stomach; I can't stand the nauseating scent of it. How about you?

Ack! I hate it, and I live way too close to the Upper Haight for that.
1I get horrible headaches from it. When I was pregnant I went to the Catholic easter service with my mom and they were burning that stuff and I almost threw up and passed out when I tried to step outside for a moment.
2I used to like it a lot but I don't have any right now... maybe I'll go get some!
3love it
4it gives me a headache
5Hate it!! It gives me a headache.
6I used to when I was a teen because it was "trendy" but it gave my mom migraines. Now I think the scent is much too strong and can't believe she put up with it as long as she did before she told me to give it a rest.
7I like Nag Champa but not the more fruity scents.
8I can't stand the $1.00 for a pack of 20 incense... it's cheap and nauseating. However, a nice quality incense is fine.
And, sorry wren, but I despise Nag Champa. It is, however, the #1 selling incense fragrance int he world... so I'm kind of alone in that.
9Incense reminds me of my old college dorm. The guys down the hall would burn it to cover the marijuana smell leaking out of their room. It's kind of like a trendy, glorified Glade plug-in. Mehh. I'd much rather have a can of Oust.
10I love it reminds me of my slight hippy childhood but also I love Catholic funeral incense because of my private school.
11I haven't done it for years, but I would.
12everyone once in a L-O-N-G while i choose to burn some of my incense. for me that means every 2-3 months i burn a stick. the mood has to strike me. AND it has to be some of the more expensive types - the cheap stuff is either awful smelling or WAY TOO overpowering. ick.
13I get allergies...the smell is too strong for me.
14I use the plug ins from Bath and Body works.
I'm not a fan, either. I had an old roommate who would burn it, and I always also found the scent nauseating! I'll just stick to candles and my tart burner.
15Sometimes I do....
16Nag Champa and China Rain aren't so bad. I like the incense oils more than the sticks though. If you use the oils, you can also get scents like Chamomile, Peppermint (which is great for headache suffers like myself) and Lilac.
Went through a serious hippie stage in high school but so over it now!
17Oh, my god, at the local head shop they have this kind called Leather, and I adore it, especially after it's been burned and there's still a lingering aroma.
18I love it but it can't be too strong. It can bring back so many memories.
19I dont mind it, but im very allergic to it. I start sneezing, my eyes get all red, and my nose gets runny. Almost instantly lol.
20I don't mind it every once in a while. It was very effective in getting rid of the old people and cabbage smell in the fixer upper we bought.
21I only really like Nag Champa...by an open window
) There are far too many cheap and
nauseating smells out there. Particularly in mall kiosks. It does remind me of college and being a hippie and making clothes and all that jazz. Nice memories!
22I love incense, but some scents are way too strong.
23Oh god, I lived in a house for 2 years where we burned it just about every day. You should have seen the nasty smoke damage (gray soot on the walls and in the corners of the ceilings) when we moved outta that place.
Now I havent done it ever since. Its really bad for your paint job.
Also, people should know that it is bad for your body too, just like 2nd hand smoke.
24A long time ago, an ex smoked cigarettes while driving my car and tried to cover up the scent by burning incense IN THE CAR. The smell STILL comes back to this day. Horrible.
25Instant headache! Especially, with cinnamon!
26I'm another Nag Champa fan.
27I got this cute pig (i'm obsessed w pigs) incense from a friend who got it in Germany. So every once in a blue moon I will burn it. But I def prefer candles!
28It really depends on the scent... some incense scents are just gross. I really don't like patchouli. Not a fan. But I have some vanilla incense that is nice and not too over-powering.
I'm more of a candle person though
29Champa, all the way
