This Silver Leaf Decorative Object (contact dealer for price) is eye-catching even in this photo, with its drab gray background. Made in the 1950s, it stands three feet tall and two feet wide, so it's bigger than you might expect.
So for this challenge, I'd like you to tell me how you'd use this unique sculptural object. Would you use it as art? Hang anything from it? What room do you imagine it taking center stage in? Tell me by commenting below!

I would use it to hang earrings and rings in either my bathroom or bedroom.
1I'll use it during the holiday and decorate it with a few Christmas ornaments.
2I'd put earrings on it.
3Though I thought of the Christmas idea as well, another thought I had would be to have it on a shelf or cabinet at a fairly low height, then "shadow paint" the outline of it on the wall, slightly offset, in black or dark grey, as a type of modern mural/decoration.
4I'd set it in a meditative area, with a green or mauve background to set off the silver. I don't think I would hang anything on it, and I definitely wouldn't hang it up - my house will always have children and 'you could put somebody's eye out with that' leaps to mind! But somewhere quiet, where I can just look at it, would be nice.
5My answer was going to be, "I probably wouldn't even have it in my house"! But if I did, I think I would steal Rosadilia's idea!!
6I love this piece. I've actually been looking for an item like this. I want to use to as an necklace holder for my favorite items.
7I agree with rabidmoon. It's an art piece, it shouldnt have a purpose besides looking good
8I think it would be not so good for holding jewelry as it is silver LEAF, which is very thin and would wear off.
I feel that it doesn't need a purpose, either.
The stand is vitally important. I love the contrast of clean modern with the organic shape.
Good lighting in the right spot, it would be a wonderful piece.
9How about for cocktail weenies?
10How about this? $14.98 on ebay!

11My idea is similar to Rabidmoon's...
I think it would look great with a tree branch outline or painting behind, not exactly the same as the sculpture, though. You could choose a number of colors that easily go well with the silver. A soft gray wall with white tree branch paint would be very calm.
The idea of it being a jewelry display seems silly given the dimensions of the sculpture... 3ft x 2ft. seems a bit big for an earring holder.
