Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have paid a pretty penny for record producer and songwriter Ron Fair’s 3,977-square-foot manse in Beverly Hills. The sale price is not known, but it was originally listed at $4.8 million.
The listing for the 1965 property reads
Recently completed and exceptionally finished contemporary home features a full-floor, upstairs master suite comprised of dual walk-in closets, a designer-chic bathroom, and a spacious sitting room/office area. Plentiful French doors and sliding walls of glass bathe the house in light. Tree and ridge-top views from the private and serene pool area. Outdoor dining, a grassy side-yard /play area, and an additional, not-yet-developed portion of land across the street round out this rare offering.
I'm not wildly impressed with the house, at least as it's currently staged; as these pictures attest, it's modern in a boring way. But, I will say that it appears to offer great light, and features a secluded, spacious pool area. Maybe Nicole and Keith can warm this space up with some organic and elegant furnishings and rugs. Oh, and if they ever need to borrow a cup of sugar, they can call on neighbors Kimora Lee Simmons and Jessica Simpson, who both live in the 'hood.

the inside kind of reminds me of a library. but the backyard and pool view, love it.
1I like the clean lines and lots of windows but my gosh the grade on that driveway would be a killer! I'm not a big fan of the kitchen either but the rest I like.
2I love this house. God, it's gorgeous!
3Its actually pretty nice and looks like it gets a lot of natural light.
4Not very cozy, i don't think.
5Love the pool area.
6not a huge fan of the modern look (aka, uncozy, imo) but I am with everyone else and LOVETH the pool!
7Gorgeous house however I would definitely change the colors/decor in the home; orange rugs & light blue curtains? yuck.
8Not cozy at all, WAY too open for my taste. My favorite room was the office, probably because it's the only room that actually looked closed off from the rest of the house!
9Not particularly child friendly, but perfect for the Urban Warrior type. I don't think Keith would like the retro Hollywood revival look and Nicole has probably long outgrown it by now. She's not a cozy, country chic type either, so this seems to be a very fair on the eyes compromise to start.
10I'm surprised...I didn't think Nicole Kidman was into the "modern" look. She's seems more traditional to me.
11thumbs way up!
12That is not a kid-friendly home at all...
13the stairs terrify me. I would have cold sweats worrying about a baby in that house.
Nice house, but needs some work. The openness makes it seem larger than the listed just under 4,000 sq. ft. I love the overlook to the pool.
