Even though I was the furthest thing from a preppy in high school, some part of me still loves the look of madras. However, I'm torn about whether I could pull off a Ralph Lauren Madras Quilt ($249.99) in my bedroom. Obviously, I'd switch up the style a little with some less country-cute pillows, to give the quilt an edge, but I'm not sure if that's enough of a change. What about you? Do you like this bedding?

1I love the quilt - but how it's styled in the photo isn't really my thing.
I totally think you could do a different type of look if you lose the floral sheets, country pillows and assorted bric-a-brac. Maybe a white, rustic-industrial-modern vibe or a global look that's accented with textures, warm woods, a striped rug in a complementary color.

5I think love it or hate it are not the best adjectives to describe it. I like it, I don't love it. I don't know if I would purchase it at $380 but I wouldn't not use it (by mod-ing it up a bit) if it was given to me. SO i neither love it nor hate it.
