I have to start this post off on a positive note: I love this house, and I love its beautiful garden and variety of flowers and plants. I also really adore bougainvillea. However, I can't really deal with the two clashing shades of pink that flank this home's entry. It's kind of jarring on the eyes. Are you with me on this one, or do you think that the clashing bougainvillea is fine?

yes, the two colors are much, and they also need a landscaper to trim the bushes and trees.
1To me it's not so much the shads of pink it's that they both clash with the orange/coral (hard to tell from this pic) color of the house . . I think the pinks would look ok if the house was brick or white.
2their steps need repair.
3It wouldn't bother me as much if there was more color on the ground, not just gree shrubs. If they brought it either shades of the 2 pinks in other flowers or even added colors like yellows and such and just made it all English gardeny it might be better.
Also just to add when we were in Hawaii a couple of weeks ago, bouganvilla of course is all over the place there and I saw the most gorgeous shade of orange bouganvilla that I'd ever seen and it's now my favorite color for this flower!
I agree Casa - the 2 pinks alone do clash either change it or add more color.
4I'm afraid I totally love it. I adore riots of color, esp. from bougainvillea.
I live in Hawaii and am just now starting a project I've been dreaming of a long time: A bougainvillea hedge with 4 different colors. The 2 pinks you see above, white and a great coral-orange color. I know it will be years before I have a mature hedge, but seeing the photo above makes me so excited!
I have 8 huge bright blue ceramic pots that I will start them in, and then eventually train them up onto a trellis that is at the top of the fence along one side of the house.

5i dont find anything wrong with it.
6i think the purple clashes a bit but its not too bad.
