If you have a kimono, party dress, or otherwise underutilized but absolutely lovely piece of clothing in your closet, why not give it a place of honor on your living room wall? Using clothing to fill up empty wall space provides a beautiful and textural element to a room, which can be echoed in other accents, such as pillows, rugs, or furniture pieces. Do you do this in your own home?

I don't have anything that warrants the attention but I've seen it done beautifully and love the idea - I especially associate it with meditative spaces.
1I don't have any items of clothing that I think would make nice decorative pieces either. But, I have been thinking about picking up a few saris to hang in my bedroom and even the living room. It's a wonderful and very creative idea!! Especially if you're on a budget and can't buy items to display..you can use what you've got.
2I have done this with my old sugarplum fairy tutu...I also rotate other ballet costumes as art during holiday seasons (stars and stripes, candy cane, snowflake, etc)
