It's hard to keep me inside the house in the Summer. I'd rather throw a blanket on the grass in the backyard or host dinner on the deck. Where do you spend time around your home in the Summer?

We have a wonderful sunroom where we spend A LOT of time! It is inclosed but has lots of windows and it's perfect when it gets a tad too chilly @ nighttime.
1I love that you put fire escape as a choice. When I lived in the Old City here in Québec I used to spend my summers there and even BBQ there.
2deck + pool + porch + courtyard
oh man i wish it would stop raining!
3I hate to admit this, but I spend most of my summers indoors. I have never been a big fan of hot weather, and living in the deep south, the summers are almost unbearable. The hot weather here is heavy and humid and breezes are few and far between. From around May until September, I'm miserable.
4LOVE that you brought up fire escape!! Growing up in the city my sisters and I used to place a blanket on the fire escape and spend most of the day sitting there and just gossip on everyone that walked by. We'd water the plants my father use to put out every summer and climb in next door to my aunt's house. I miss that old apartment.
5Patio
6You could have already guessed the answer to that one, I suppose
Inside in the air conditioning! Way too humid in DC to be outside.
7Truthfully, I spend the vast majority of my time in the summer at work anyway...
i spend a lot of time in the garden when it not to hot out. otherwise i'm inside.
8How about in a park?
I live in a brownstone with no fire escape and no rooftop access, definitely no garden. If I want to hang out outside, its in a park.
9At the beach! Or in the yard. But most of the time at the beach, my husband loves to surf so i just go with him and sit on the beach and read.
10INSIDE! It's Texas. I would die if I sat around outside in the afternoons. If it's not too hot, though, restaurant/bar patios are pretty nice at night. (Especially the ones with misters!)
11I live in my pool.
12In the summer I'm inside desperately trying to stay cool and out of the desert sun. But in the fall, winter and spring I'm usually on the patio in my backyard!
13We spend a lot of time on our back deck. It's very peaceful.
14In our backyard lounging around the pool. If we're not there then we're up on the Mountain, hiking and escaping the desert heat.
15Inside. Its ridiculously hot here.
16ummm BEACH!
17beach!! im only a couple blocks away
18Just finished my patio this weekend!
19Holy crap it took me almost two months to do! All by hand. It looks great though.
My favorite outdoor space in the morning is sitting on the front porch. It doesn't get sunny, and it's cool, which is perfect to adjust to the day. Then in the evening, the best place is now my new patio w/ fire pit!
INSIDE!
20It's way too freakin' hot. In Houston, if the heat and humidity doesn't drive you inside the mosquitoes will.
