Happy Father's Day! Are you spending the day with your dad? If I could spend the day with mine, I know that we'd be tackling garden projects, like moving his beehives, weeding the vegetable garden, or planting more perennials. Do you ever take on gardening or home projects with your dad?

My dad was a Navy pilot who built a coffee table one year, which led to bookshelves, which led to cabinets, which led to building the house I grew up in. All of this while flying planes. He even started a custom home building company, eventually building a dozen homes for a million plus back in the 80's. He is still amazing with a hammer. Together we have renovated a few of my homes. He is heading up here in a few weeks and I have big dreams for some of the rooms in my new (but old) house. I love him and I am so proud of him.
1I've done all these things with my Dad and also worked on our boats and cars together too.
2Papa and I have done pretty much all of those on the poll. He likes to keep the yard looking nice and mum is always having him build things... he use to be a carpenter so he always has me helping him measure/hammer/saw things, help with the cars, ect.
The way my mum gets him to do all of that she mentions wanting to buy something she saw at the stores for $$$ and dad says he could just build it for us to save money. That how we got him to build the entertainment center in my room
3Actually, since my family was only daughters, I ended up doing a lot of the stereotypical "son" activities, like helping my dad move big furniture around or help him build things.
I came home for the weekend for Father's Day!
4He's helping me (in secret) build a cornhole set as a Christmas gift for my husband.
My dad is quite the handyman. He's helped me with lots of projects over the years including moving in and out of school, building a tack box for horse shows and fixing everything I've ever broken. lol
5My dad and I do just about everything concerning home and garden projects together. My mom works weekdays so anything that needs to be done we get done, from working on vehicles, planting a vegetable garden, mowing the lawn, cleaning the house, chopping wood, I do a little of just about every chore around the house
6My Dad has helped me with repairs at my house but not in a while.
7When I was little, I would garden with my dad. He grows all his own vegetables, always has, and he is very into his garden. He also has some flowers, which I would be more interested in than the veggies...
8Oh, and my dad is quite the handy man, he's done most of the home improvement projects in my townhouse. When I met my husband, they joined forces and now I have double the help!
