The Carved Wood Animal Bookends by Roost ($150) are, in my opinion, equal parts cool, cute, and creepy. Whatever you think, if you park your books against one of these hand-carved shesham wood bookends, it'll definitely be a conversation starter.

I like them, but only because they are a little bit on the creepy side.
I like the owl only so I said undecided. There something about the intelligent owl holding up books, which have the power to increase knowledge (when people actually read them!).
Owl and horse, yes. The other two have evil eyes!
I'm diggin' the owl, but only the owl.
I am really tired of woodland creature motifs.
They kinda scare me.
I think it depends really on your style. It's not really my style. Those would make me jump out of my skin in the middle of the night, especially the squirrel!
I'll gladly take the squirrel. According to Feng shui, you shouldn't keep any wild animals' piece, to restore domestic peace.
i like the owl, but not for $150.
those are amazing -my great grandmother had these crystal book ends that were big like afghan dogs....my mom took them though - those were pretty amazing too.
The squirrel kinda scares me...
oh yes! i'd take all of those in a minute! i have a cute bear bookend that i bought from a thrift store. i love it.
I like the concept but kinda scary to me also. Plus I have so many books no room for bookends.
I like the idea but the craftsmanship on them are not very good.
