Apparently, not the Danes. I love the deep, deep purple of the lilac blossoms against that eye-popping citron slatted shelving. The light blue cups add a touch of muted calm, while the green glass picks up the green of the lilac leaves so nicely. While this is more color than most houses could handle, I'd gladly take it. Would you?

it looks like a green highlighter exploded. i wonder if it glows in the dark?
i once
painted my bedroom purple ... thinking it was going to come out a nice lavendar. i'm not sure what happened but it dried a dark purple - it looked like Barney had exploded on my walls. before
we moved the realtor said it had to painted over ... and it took the poor painter at least 4 coats of primer to conseal the shade.
1Wow-I love this! However, I would never be able to execute a color with this degree of boldness in a tasteful manner in my house. Our home office is this type of green - albeit many degrees lighter!!
2Wow! Now that's bright. I think it would be fabulous in a summer home. I don't know that I could handle it year round.
3absolutely. i love this! i can definitely see shelving like this in my kitchen at some point, although the rest of the room would be white with a few subtle (albeit lime green!) accents.
4yes! i'd love to have that much colour around me! i need to buy a place so i can paint and paint...with zero VOC paint, of course.
5Color and more color - I don't have a white wall in my house.
6I would love to do thata with the rest of room in white.
7I would love to do that with the rest of room in white.
