The cast of Gossip Girl and Jennifer Hudson have teamed up with Deeply Madly Living to benefit the V-Day Foundation (an antifemale violence organization) and the Children’s Defense Fund, according a 5W PR rep. The starlets have each personally autographed a base of the Deeply Madly Living Celebrity Lamp ($1,600), a lamp with a shade made of 40 pairs of mirrored, incognito aviator shades resting on a shiny, linear stand, creating a sparkling paparazzi effect when turned on. Auction of two of these signed fixtures kicked off yesterday on eBay, with bidding starting at $800 and proceeds going to the charities.

The design debuted at last week's International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York. It was originally constructed of upcycled aviator sunglasses but unfortunately, now is being produced entirely from new sunglasses, thanks to the demands of mass production.
