Since it's Small Changes month, I'm all about giving attention to the tiniest nooks and crannies in your home, which may have been overlooked. One of these zones that's infamous for clutter and things without a designated storage space of their own is the junk drawer. You've told me before what's in your junk drawer, so I know you've got one! Here are my few steps that'll help you organize that mess.

- Pour it out, onto a table or the floor.
- Toss the trash. If you don't use it, lose it.
- Anything out of place? Store it where it belongs.
- Fill your drawer small containers (tins, boxes) to separate your things.
- Sort your junk into the separate containers by function (paperclips in one box, batteries in another).
- Repeat as necessary!

Ooh, I need one of those! My "junk" drawer isn't too messy, but I'd like it to be more organized. I'd be able to find what I need a lot quicker!
1I have to say I don't really have a junk drawer, I make sure everything has a place.
2I make sure everything is in place too. I don't have a junk drawer. I don't crazy thinking I have junk with no random relevance in a drawer.
3umm, i love having tins and boxes in all of my drawers, makes it so much easier for me to find things, unfornuately my b/f doesnt see it that way. He can't find ANYTHING (he NEVER opens a box) and when i tell him where something is "its in the green tea tin with the unicorn on the second drawer on the left" he finds it, but lord help him if he even gets it back in the right drawer let alone back int he box/tin!!!!
4I have a junk drawer and love the chaos. Mind, I don't keep anything in there that's really important, so I don't have to find anything. I can just look in there when I want to be amused. It reminds me of my grandmother's drawer; whenever I would visit, she would direct me to the top drawer of a huge bureau, which inevitably had tons of interesting items.
