Remember HarmonyFrance's amazing landing strip re-do? Well, she didn't stop there. She is, in fact, cleaning, organizing, and redecorating every room in her house. Here's what her dining room looked like beforehand:

To see the amazing results, just read more.
HarmonyFrance says, "It turned into a big job and still isn't finished. I started off treating the problem. I was straightening every area instead of getting everything out, sorting it, getting rid of stuff . . . etc . . . I'm still not done . . . but here is some progress. Cheers!"

If, like HarmonyFrance, you've made some small (or big!) changes at your house, you should show off all of your home updates in my group on TeamSugar called Su Casa. What changes are you making?

the colors and the curtains
4I love it! From the little glimpse I got from one of the pictures I love that you repainted the kitchen green--its much better than the blue and works nicely with the brown of the dining room. Also liked that you put stuff on top of the cabinets since there was a lot of space b/w them and the ceiling. Great job and good luck finishing!
5Nice job. Love the sheer curtains.
6this looks great! you have awesome style!
7ooo. I love your asian influence. Super cute!

(i'm still team red though...)
19WOW! Thanks everyone.
smileyface: I love my new green kitchen!!! It's Stem Green from Benjamin Moore. I was looking for the color of a Granny Smith Apple. I love how it goes with the brown. There is also a turquoise accent wall behind my bookshelf that you can see in the second picture. I love how the three colors go together. Happiness! Oh and those things on top of the cabinets in the kitchen are vintage vogue covers.
The curtains are actually fabric shower curtains from TARGET. That's my little trick. It's cheaper and the designs are more dynamic.
The mirror I got in a vintage store in VA for $50. I was watching HGTV one day though and saw it on one of their design shows. Apparently in mint condition (which it's NOT and it's painted) it's worth a couple grand!
The Asian influences are all from Singapore. I was stationed near there while I was in the Navy and was blown away by how beautiful it was.
Thanks everyone! This really motivates me to keep going!

20My jaw dropped at the change!
21There is so much to love in that little room! I love the little teacups on the windowsill. The black expedit against the wall vanishes into the dark brown so that it doesn't take up too much eye time or shrink the room. Fabulous!
22It's hard to see because the top picture is the room and the bottom pictures are smaller areas but I like what I can see.
23i LOVE your curtains...where did you get them?
24Great job- love the new look!
25New look looks great! small changes.
26i love it! such a wonderful variety of fabric and accessories. i love the colors.

28Looking around my place, I don't know whether I'm inspired, or just hopeless....
Harmony, you are so talented! I love it. I also love that you had a case of beer and pom poms in your before picture.
29wow
