If you're visiting San Francisco, take the time to drop by Golden Gate Park and the Conservatory of Flowers. Constructed in 1879, this gorgeous building, which is a stunning example of Victorian architecture, houses exotic and rare plants. Not only is it the oldest building in Golden Gate Park, it's also the oldest public conservatory in the United States.
To find out about this gorgeous spot, just read more.

The real stars at the Conservatory of Flowers, though, are — of course — the flowers. From rare exotic plants to more common bamboo species, the conservatory houses over 1,700 varieties of plants. Since it's also possible to rent the conservatory for private events, I can't help but dream of having a limitless wedding budget, which would allow me to hold a wedding reception at the Conservatory of Flowers. However, having said all of this, I have to shamefully admit that I only went for the first time this weekend with visiting family members. And believe me — this place does not disappoint! The Conservatory of Flowers is listed on the National Register and the California Register of Historic Places and it's a San Francisco Landmark as well as a Historic Civil Engineering Landmark of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

That looks amazing. The building actually looks very similar to the one at the NY Botanical Gardens.
1I love playing around this area. It reminds of being in 8th grade when our teacher used to take us to the de Young once a month and then let us run free for the rest of the day. Shakespears garden is only a bit aways and if you really know ur way around their is this hidden away pond that is awesome!!!Oh I want to be in gg park right NOW mostly on hippy hill!!
2For a while now, I've had dreams of someday getting married here. What's more romantic than a glass palace, filled with flowers?
3Every time I'm in SF, I go there, if possible. It's such a special place.
