I've reported extensively on bird motifs in home decor, and I'm wondering if you think that this trend is over, or still alive and well. Regardless, I'm not taking down my favorite bird mobile.

If you like 'em who cares what other people think, that's what I say!
1The only birdie items I have in my home are a set of salt and pepper shakers, because I collect them. I think they're adorable and would have gotten them regardless of trends.
2I hope it's over...I never cared for this trend at all.
3never did like the bird trend..
4I'm not trendy enough to answer accurately.
5(But if you glance to the immediate left of your screen, you'll see that this never was a trend for me, but more like a way of life. **smirk**)
6I think nature inspired decor is always in style.
7I think it is always in style in a way that comes and goes. My mom's wedding china and silver had a bird motif, kinda 70's, that I never understood or liked until recently and now i love it!

Had to research it, Tiffany's Audubon Flatware has been around since 1871! So that pretty much says 'timeless" to me!
9if you shop for your home based on trend, you'll hate your home very quickly. i happen to like birds
so my home has a lot of birds furniture i designed myself w/o being aware of the birds trend.
10I didn't know this was a trend, but I'll have to agree with Aimeeb on this ... if you like it, who cares? I think everything you've shown is tasteful and cute - things I'd have in my house (not all together at once, of course!)
11Personally I think it's wearing thin as a trend but, if you have a unique or very high quality piece, it should stand the test of time.
12Alot of these should have never become a trend anyway.
13I think, as long as you keep trends subtle (I have that fabulous Dwell chinoiserie duvet with the birds and branches) and don't overload your home with them, they're fine. Birds are birds. It's not like I've plastered my home with pictures of Fabio circa 1994 or something.
14I definitely think well-designed nature patterns and motifs are and will always be classic. That said, I'm totally over the birds on clothing, but am still all for it in home decor. If you love them, you can pick pieces that don't look so overtly trendy..a la Urban Outfitters.. You'll be sick of it fast.
15I think that you shouldn't always follow trends and instead do things because you like them...who cares if they go "out of style"?
16We bought this bird-shaped ceramic lamp at Zellers when I was about 2 years old, and it cost around $6.99. Everyone thinks it's some fancy art piece, when in reality it was probably just the cheapest lamp we could find.
Long as there are birds in the air, they'll be in style. You can't go wrong with critters.
