Has the label on your brand new uterus vase left you with a sticky residue that's not so pretty? If you have one handy, you can scrape away the adhesive with a craft blade, but that could potentially scuff up your fab new home accessory. A simpler solution, though, is to rub the residue with a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol. That should kick the stick instantly. Then, you can focus on explaining to your guests why you bought a uterus vase in the first place . . .

I think that should read "nail polish remover" not nail polish.
and even with that however, you have to be careful because if the remover has acetate in it it will damage the paint on the item you're trying to take the label off. googone is a product that works well also for removing labels.
1goo gone has always worked pretty well for me.
2Whats wrong with the uterus vase. You know they are going to be all the rage this summer. I heard pottery barn was going to sell them.
3I use olive oil to get adhesive glue off of ceramics. It works wonders!
4I get so grossed out by stickers and stickyness from that sort of thing. This helps, I guess. Stuff smells awful though.
5Acetone is a great way to get the gunk off. I had a sticker label on a mirror that just resisted absolutely everything and there was no way to get rid of that hideous tacky residue. Just what I want collecting dust!
6I love my goo gone.
