Since it's Good to Grow month, for this week's Open House, I figured I'd start off the month by getting the details on your garden — if you have one. What's in your garden: flowers, vegetables, herbs? Is your garden an Edible Estate? Is it an anti-garden? A formal, Versailles-style garden? Is it full of native plants or foreign flora? What plants specifically grow there? Do you garden for purely aesthetic purposes, for environmental reasons, or just to feed your hungry belly? If you don't have one, are you hoping to start one? Are you having any "issues" with your garden? Successes?

My garden is a just a few little pots in my kitchen. *smile* My fella brings me plants every few months.
1I wish I could plant a few thing in my backyard but, unfortunately, there are too many stray cats in my neighborhood and they'll destroy everything.
2When we close on our house next month i hope to start a garden
3It's still too cold here to plant a garden. I've got to wait another month and then it will only be container gardening because I plan on moving this summer.
4I don't have a "garden" in a traditional sense. I have potted flowers along the edge of my deck, but in the front yard I have rose bushes around a large oak tree and hibiscus bushes flanking a boxwood bush in front of one window, and in a little planter area in front of the other window we recently planted a tree. There is also a knockout rose bush and a large miniature rose bush along with another couple boxwood bushes and another few bushes that I don't know the name of.
I would love to add more herbs in the back, all my rosemary died over the winter when we had a cold snap.
Oh! I also just planted jasmine to eventually grow and climb the lattice work around the deck.
5I started a flower and herb garden in my front yard last spring. I was just out earlier today cleaning things up and trying to see if anything died during the winter. I think I did pretty good!!! I have a lot of happy flowers coming up! I think I'm going to have a lot of happy Daylillies, Daisies, Iris's and Lavender! I cant wait, I'm so excited!!!
6althought i can't keep flowers alive, i've had luck with 2 tomoato plants, a summer squash and strawberries. i've planted watermelons recently - which seem to still be thriving - and rosemary and mint. I'd like to add some cucumbers and more herbs, maybe an apple tree and an avacado.
