Spring has officially sprung! That means several things. A) I need to start shopping for some fab sandals. B) I need to befriend someone with a sailboat. And C) I've got to get my house into shipshape for warm weather fun. One of my friends recently built herself a deck and is digging a ditch and ordering concrete in an effort to build herself a pool. Impressive, right?
Wherever you are, the heat is just around the corner, and I'm sure there's something you'd like to get done so you can enjoy it when it comes. So, for this Open House, I want to hear what's on your To Do list for Spring. Does your garden need a reno? Should your pool be filled? Need to hire a landscaper? Build a balcony or give your patio a makeover? Does your AC need to be fixed? Let me know by leaving a comment below!

AH! Too much to do this Spring! We're having the yard re-graded and then planting grass and then hiring a landscaper. We're also finishing up sanding and painting the rest of the downstairs. We're also re-doing the upstairs bathroom. It's going to be a very very busy season!
1Well, mostly my Spring to do list consists of projects, papers, exams, and basically passing all my classes. But I have a few small projects planned for Spring Break. I am going to buy inexpensive fabric from Ikea to make grocery totes and fragrant sachets. I'm also going to make some of the homemade laundry detergent from the recipe posted on Casa. I'm going to combine all these things and give them as gifts for Mother's Day, birthdays, and Christmas this year. I've also just planted a bunch of seeds and they are just starting to sprout.
2Well we're moving so we'll need to start from scratch. We're going to plant a vegetable garden and a flower garden as well as a lilac bush and various other plants. We'll be building another deck. I want a hammock as well as an outdoor area with tables and chairs for dining. It'll be a lot of work but I plan to spend every waking moment outside anyway.
3There are a few project inside my house that we're tackling this spring...renovating the laundry room is the biggest one.
I just went to Ikea today and got some new spring bedding and decorative items for my house too.
I also want to get some new patio furniture for my deck and some pretty, colorful flowers to go in the cute little plant stands that I have. We spend so much time out there in the spring/summer, I want it to look as cute as possible.
4Oh, and that hammock looks so relaxing and wonderful...I've always wanted one of those!
5I just moved in to a townhouse with a decent sized backyard....except that the previous owners had put down large sized gravel. My dog isn't fond of the rocks and I can't really planet anything with them there so I'm looking for some other options to replace the rocks---grass or mulch most likely. Any other suggestions, Casa?
