This Vintage Brass Deer in Repose Lamp ($1,295 ) rests on an acrylic base, which adds a bit of a modern touch to this rather traditional figure. Made in France in 1940, I have to admit I'm a fan. But then again, I have something of a deer problem.

I love that lamp! I feel though that one should only have one deer themed item per household though. One lamp, taxidermied head, fake taxidermied head, artwork, etc. You can't have a lamp and a head. Or in the case of my parents, a large pen and ink drawing of a majestic buck. That was enough for our house and the neighbors three houses down.

i don't like that - i find it a bit troubling to be honest. kind of like the deer head on the wall. i know that it's not the same thing - but it's still not my thing!

I like it! It would look great in an upscale living room with brass or gold accents. It definately has a "look" to it and wouldnt work with a lof other "looks".
