According to Page Six, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden quietly purchased "a two-bedroom, two-bath downtown condo on the Bowery" for $999,999 in December. The 1,000-square-foot, 11th-floor pad, which is said to be "very simple, nothing high design," and "was sold unrenovated," will be the primary residence of the family of three. A Corcoran listing for the building says, "The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and Shaker-style maple cabinetry. The baths are finished with marble floors, walls, and vanity."
Page Six notes, "celeb-friendly clubs BLVD and Crash Mansion are on the block." Let's hope baby Harlow gives it a few years before becoming a club kid.

1i know exactly where that is (and have performed at crash mansion, actually!). it's a lot less posh than i would expect from them.

11Wow, can't believe they bought something so small... I mean by looking at that floor plan it looks like there is nothing to that kitchen... almost as small as mine! And that's tiny!

16that's a pretty low price for a 2 bedroom in manhattan. one bedrooms can be from 700K to 850k and up. the layout is really plane too.
17I'm kind of shocked at how..... normal that condo is. Somehow, I can't exactly picture Nicole Richie living there. Joel, yes - Nicole, not so much.
Either way though, it's kind of refreshing to see celebrities buying something that the average person might live in, instead of a 10000 sf mansion with 8 bathrooms, you know?
