Did you know that newspapers work just as well, if not better, as paper towels for washing windows? To wash your windows with newspaper, make sure to avoid glossy or colored paper to avoid running ink. Then, ball up the newspaper and scrub away. Be careful to get all of the traces of window cleaner off your windows to avoid streaks. If you want to get your windows even more sparkly clean, use a squeegee.

I alway use old newspapers to wash windows. You can also use them to clean mirrors.
1Really? That would save A LOT more papertowels! I go through them like crazy on my cleaning days!
2newspaper with white vinegar is the absolute best way to wash windows and mirrors! way less less toxic than any windex-esque product (remember indoor air quality is super important!) and good for the environment, too.
i run a green cleaning biz in my off time from being an artist and a mom...trust me, vinegar and newspaper.
3My BF tells me this every time he sees me wash a window or mirror with a papertowel
4Yes, Newspaper and White Vinagar is great for windows and glass. Also, boiling vingar on the stovetop kills odor through the house.
5huh? it won't make it all grimey?? hmm
6My mother does this, she told me when I was very young. Newspapaer works amazing!!
7I'd go one step further and use vinegar to wash the windows as well as the newspaper. I haven't washed my windows since hearing about this trick but I can't wait to try it.
8Old newspaper works best. Also, you can use warm water and corn flour in a spray bottle for grimy windows or hydrogen peroxide and water mix.
9The vinegar trick is great! It also gets rid of streaks on mirrors.
