Annually at Christmastime in Strasbourg, France, a sleepy city on the border of Germany, a row of Baccarat chandeliers are suspended above Rue des Hallebardes. The tradition is called "Les Fastes de la Lumière," meaning "The Glories of the Light." Each luminary is encased in a transparent cage, so it is protected but its elegant glow is not diminished. It's a stunning, unforgettable sight, and a must-see if you ever find yourself there.

I absolutely LOVE this idea! I wish i could walk down this street! How funky, fun, and totally random... What a cool little town!
