AT:SF recently cheered the use of Ikea Regolit paper lanterns over a bed. I also spotted a similar paper lantern on Domino used in the same way. While it may be picturesque and wonderfully styled, personally, I think it might interrupt any movement that's not, uh, horizontal. What do you think?

I dunno...I like everything in the room! I would it to be my room! BUT the latern just doens't really fit in my opinion...
I agree with ashcwebb. I think you should just say thank you and move on. I do not like when people compliment you after you compliment them for the sake of saying something --it looks ungenuine and forced.
Have one and love it!
i love it, but i'd probably only do something similar if i had taller than normal ceilings lol. i do love me some paper lanterns though.
I have a cream chinese silk lantern (much smaller than the paper one shown) over my bed...it is very romantic!
I love the room pictured, but not the paper lamp so much.
maybe if it were smaller as bluecanary says she has..
I think it works in some rooms...
I don't like it. Maybe in another room. I agree with Ashcwebb that it doesn't seem to "fit".
If I were one of those rich women I'd have a house that was modern and with my own creativity. My bedroom would be more modern and my so would the living. For the picture above, that would be the guest room.
SO yes I love it!
I think having something hanging that close to the bed would be bad feng shui.
Paper lamps are a cheap way to change a room.
I also like the ones that are star shaped.
